Do you need to make a web page DO something?
If you're new to programming, and have just taken on responsibility for a web site that includes (or will include) some web based applications, you may need to learn some programming skills - to read programs and work out roughly what they do, perhaps. But you're likely to find that many training courses will assume prior programming knowledge, or will use the wrong language.
Well House Consultants offer five days of training in PHP Programming (our technology for PHP followed by PHP Programming) which are designed to give you an excellent grounding. Taking a maximum of just 8 delegates, our tutor will take you though the fundamentals of programming in PHP, such as variables, loops, and conditionals before moving on to some very simple but useful applications such as getting PHP to add a "message of the day" to your web site, updating your page's timestamp, and emailing a simple form's contents to the administrator.
The course goes on to cover handing of data, in files, in SQL databases, and from other web sites (sometimes known as "web2"), and teaches you how to build secure, friendly and robust sites which require a minimum of maintainance.
There's no way that you'll learn everything you need to know in a week, and so we have a forum available where you can ask questions afterwards, or you can email or come back and spend another hour or two with the tutor and perhaps stop again overnight at our hotel and training centre.
